Hi, I’m Gray. I’m glad you’re here. 🌞

If living through fascism wasn’t on your bingo card, you’re not alone. You might feel stuck in patterns you’re tired of repeating, weighed down by what you’ve been carrying, or unsure what comes next. You don’t have to make sense of all of that by yourself.

I love working with queer, trans, gender-expansive folks, and anyone figuring out who they are. Whether you come in on your own, with a partner, or as part of a polycule, you’re welcome here. I’m passionate about working with folks to discover, nourish, and honor their most authentic self.

How I show up

My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you’re the expert of your own identity and experience. You don’t need to filter yourself or pretend you’re okay. We’ll make room for the hard stuff and for parts of you that haven’t had much space until now.

Together, we’ll look at what’s happening inside you and at the systems and experiences that shaped how you learned to cope. My goal is for therapy to feel grounding and real—not like something you have to perform. I show up as a person, I swear sometimes, and I genuinely care about your well‑being. I want you to feel seen and respected in the identities that matter most to you.

We may be a good fit if…

  • you’ve asked yourself “What’s going on in this country?” more times than you can count

  • you’re exploring your gender or sexuality

  • you’re queer, trans, nonbinary, or gender-expansive and want affirming support

  • you’re dealing with anxiety, shame, or burnout

  • you want to break generational cycles you never agreed to carry

  • you struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, or boundary-setting

  • you’re moving through grief, transition, or major identity shifts

  • you’ve experienced religious trauma

  • you want someone who can be real with you in a way that still feels gentle and supportive

About me

Growing up queer 🌈 and neurospicy in North Carolina, I didn’t always have access to the kind of support I needed. I know what it’s like to feel unseen or misunderstood. Everyone deserves a space where they don’t have to explain or defend themselves—a space where they can breathe a little easier. My job is to create this space for you, and to help you feel more grounded and connected to who you already are.

Outside of counseling, I love cooking, gardening, and hiking with my partner and our doggo. We tend to our ever-growing orchid collection, which started during the pandemic and has since blossomed into a full-on plant dad fantasy. I’m also frequently on the lookout for new gluten-free dessert recipes because my sweet tooth has no chill. I strive to build a life with —space— for rest, humor, curiosity, and joy, and I bring that same energy into sessions with you.

Some of the approaches I incorporate include…

  • IFS-informed parts work to explore the different parts of you

  • Strengths-based therapy that focuses on what’s already working

  • Harm reduction and sex-positive, queer-affirming, feminist frameworks

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing–informed tools for shifting stuck patterns

  • Person-centered, attachment-informed, somatic, and mindfulness practices

  • Gentle, trauma-informed care grounded in safety and collaboration

I pull from these flexibly; there’s no one-size-fits-all plan.

I offer in-person sessions at the Asheville office, walk-and-talks, and virtual sessions for anyone living in North Carolina.

If any of this sounds like the kind of person you’d want to talk with, we can set up a free 15-minute consultation and see how it feels!
