Being a human is fucking really hard sometimes. You may be finding yourself in a place where something isn’t working for you anymore and you feel completely exhausted and burnt out on life. Whether it’s a relationship pattern, unhelpful coping skills, or a belief system that no longer serves you, it’s my job to help you evaluate those systems in your life and figure out what simple changes you can make to feel more functional. I want to be your advocate and unconditional support to help you create a life that doesn’t feel like a constant struggle. Let’s work together to cultivate the life you deserve.
I specialize in working with adults who:
Are tired of gentle-parenting their own parents… (looking at you, eldest daughter!)
Want to stop people-pleasing and fawning
Are considered the “scapegoat” of the family
Have been harmed by Christianity or purity culture
Work in a helping profession or consider themselves a helper
Want to stop the pattern of generational trauma
The frameworks that have informed my work as a complex trauma-informed therapist are attachment, polyvagal, psychodynamic theories. The type of trauma treatment that I use in session relies on cognitive & emotional processing with the integration of some “brain-based” and somatic techniques to bring you back into your body and support nervous system regulation. I feel passionately about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) because I believe values-based living guides you to make the decisions that will create peace for yourself.
As a social worker, social justice is a core value of mine, and I practice intersectional feminism when evaluating my clients’ barriers and needs in order to provide competent and appropriate services. I’m committed to doing my own anti-racist work and learning from BIPOC people in personal and professional capacities. I also have extensive training in gender-affirming care and enjoy working with people who are trans and nonbinary in need of early transition support.
I’m LGBTQIA+ and Nonbinary celebratory.
My Identities:
I’m a therapy client who is also learning and growing.
Sister. Daughter. Partner. Supportive Friend.
Admirer of plants and critters.
Capricorn. INFP. Enneagram 8.
Spreadsheet wizard.
