Caitie Foster
An INELDA-trained end-of-life doula offering warm, person-centered support through grief and life’s hardest transitions.
We’re not meant to experience life alone. By seeking therapy, you’ve taken a courageous and meaningful step toward change. At different moments, therapy can be empowering, challenging, joyful, uncomfortable, and emotional, sometimes all within the same session. Ultimately, therapy is supportive, and I am dedicated to providing a space that encourages you to be your true, authentic self. Reaching out takes bravery, and I am deeply honored to hold your trust and walk with you on the journey.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I am constantly learning new skills, techniques, and modalities. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and curious. I am person-centered, which means I believe you are the expert of your own life. Therapy with me will focus on collaboratively developed goals, sharing tangible resources to add to your toolbox, and providing an open space to explore your thoughts and emotions.
I have worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational challenges, and life transitions. I am an INELDA trained end-of-life doula, which has given me a specialized focus on working with individuals facing death, including processing terminal diagnoses. This training has equipped me to work with people managing grief, which includes grief for self, loved ones, future plans, beloved pets, and more. I also enjoy working with older adults navigating concerns related to aging.
Therapy should be an environment where it’s safe to bring your whole self. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, dedicated to social justice, and committed to continuous learning. I value your culture and invite all parts of your identity into the counseling space.
Outside of therapy, I’m a huge bookworm, enjoy crafts of all kinds, and practice yoga daily. I love baking, and I like to think I’ve perfected my chocolate chip cookie recipe. I’m always planning a trip and dreaming of exploring somewhere new. My dog, Dolly, is my personal at-home therapist.
When you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to connect and explore whether working together feels right for you.
