Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Your Next Chapter Counseling (“YNCC,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website. It does not cover the protected health information in your clinical record, which is governed by our separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information we collect

Information you give us: when you submit our contact or consultation-request form, we collect details such as your name, email, phone number, preferred office, and anything you choose to share in your message. That form is hosted securely by our form provider, Jotform, and submitted directly to them — see “Sharing and disclosure” below.

Information collected automatically: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are viewed, and whether a visitor begins or completes our contact form. See “Cookies and analytics” below for exactly what that does and doesn’t include.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and match you with an appropriate clinician. We use automatically-collected analytics data only to understand and improve the website — never to advertise to you.

Protected health information (HIPAA)

The information you submit through our contact/referral form is protected too, not just after you become a client. That form runs on Jotform’s HIPAA-compliant forms platform, so it is handled with HIPAA-grade security safeguards from the moment you submit it.

What does change once you become a client: this information becomes part of your formal clinical record, and your full HIPAA rights — including our Notice of Privacy Practices — apply and are provided to you at intake.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure overall traffic and page views. As currently configured, we have turned off Google Signals and ad personalization, so this data is not used for advertising, not linked to an ad profile, and not shared with Google for cross-site targeting.

Google Analytics also includes its own standard measurement, on by default, for things like scroll depth, outbound link clicks, or file downloads, wherever it applies across the site. As with everything else described here, none of that includes anything you type into a form, and none of it is used for advertising.

On our Contact page specifically, we additionally record two purpose-built, content-free signals: that a visitor’s focus entered the referral form (a “started” signal), and that Jotform reported a successful submission (a “completed” signal). The form itself runs inside a secure, separate embedded frame that Google Analytics has no technical ability to read into — it cannot see your name, message, or any other field you type, regardless of settings, because that boundary is enforced by the browser, not by our configuration.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google’s browser add-on. Disabling analytics does not affect your ability to use the contact form or reach us by phone or email.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

We share information only with the specific service providers who help us operate the website and the practice, and only as needed to provide those services: Jotform, which securely receives and hosts submissions from our contact/referral form; SimplePractice, our HIPAA-covered practice management system, where information is entered once you become a client; and Google Analytics, which receives only the anonymized, content-free usage data described above.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of any person.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through this site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive clinical details through the website contact form.

Your choices

You may request that we update or delete the contact information you submitted by emailing us. You can also opt out of non-essential communications at any time, and opt out of Google Analytics using your browser or Google’s opt-out add-on as described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
